This Advent at Greenfield we are going back to the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew to explore his account of the birth of Jesus. From the lineage of the King to his flight to Egypt and return, Matthew’s story highlights Jesus’ royal birth as the true messiah of Israel.

Join us Sunday mornings at 10am during Advent as we explore the Gospel of Matthew in our sermon series “The Birth of the King” (you may also see sermons here).

Our special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on 4 pm on Wednesday December 24th (it will also be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel here).

We also recognize that Christmas is not an easy time of year for some, so we are joining with Dayspring Presbyterian for a joint Blue Christmas Service on Thursday December 18th at 7pm. This service will be at Greenfield and is a quiet reflective service.

Join us as we anticipate and celebrate the coming of our King Jesus this season.

This September, Greenfield Community Church is excited to start its partnership with the WECAN Food Basket Society! We are now listed as a depot on their website and will have our first depot pick-up day on Thursday September 18. WECAN Food Basket Society is a non-profit organization that offers every person the opportunity to buy nutritious food at more affordable prices. Orders must be placed online through WECAN’S website, and Greenfield’s pick up day will be the third Thursday of the month between 3:30 and 7pm. Order deadline for September 18 pick-up is Friday September 5. For program details, click here or reach out to Pastor Sara-May or the General Office.

Our Annual Fall Kick-Off potluck and BBQ will follow the gathering on Sunday September 7. For potluck items, please bring a large salad (enough to serve at least 10 people) or a dessert to share. All dishes should be ready to serve (salads tossed, cakes/squares cut etc). Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets. Volunteers are needed for pre-service set up at 9am and post-bbq kitchen clean up. If you would like to serve “behind the scenes” in this way, please contact Teresa or sign up at the Welcome Centre.

Roger Goulden (Treasurer)
Since joining Greenfield in March 2022, Roger and his wife Paw Law have embraced the community with enthusiasm. He has been actively involved in various church activities, including completing CORE3 and serving on the greeter team. Roger’s background in non-profit work with Young Life, where he passionately shared the message of Christ with teenagers, has equipped him with valuable skills in relational ministry. Currently, as a Personal Banker at ATB, he channels his passion for helping others into financial guidance and support. Outside of work and church, Roger finds joy in his love for football (soccer) and his interest in personal finance. Eager to contribute his financial acumen and servant heart to the board at Greenfield, Roger looks forward to serving alongside fellow believers and making a meaningful impact on the community.
