The Ministry Council is responsible for the general oversight of the church. At Greenfield, Ministry Council members are elected annually at the June congregational meetings.

Corinne Schalm
Corinne has been a member at Greenfield for most of her life, her parents being chartered members who helped start the church. Corinne has served the church in a variety of roles over the years including Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and different positions on the church Ministry Council. She has served on a variety of community boards throughout her life and at present is on the International Advisory Board for Chain of Love in Brazil, and is a Meals on Wheels driver. She recently retired from a lifetime career in not for profit and government continuing care services and is enjoying waking up to every day being Saturday.

Roger Goulden
Since joining Greenfield in March 2022, Roger and his wife Paw Law have embraced the community with enthusiasm. He has been actively involved in various church activities, including completing CORE3 and serving on the greeter team. Roger’s background in non-profit work with Young Life, where he passionately shared the message of Christ with teenagers, has equipped him with valuable skills in relational ministry. Currently, as a Personal Banker at ATB, he channels his passion for helping others into financial guidance and support. Outside of work and church, Roger finds joy in his love for football (soccer) and his interest in personal finance. Eager to contribute his financial acumen and servant heart to the board at Greenfield, Roger is excited to be serving alongside fellow believers and making a meaningful impact on the community.

Chelsea Ohlmann
Chelsea grew up attending and actively participating in an NAB church in the Edmonton area. She got married to James in 2010 and they then moved to BC to pursue graduate training in counselling psychology. She's attended Greenfield since 2014 because it was a community they felt connected with and they really appreciated the focus of being intentionally relational. She currently works at a local non-profit organization. James and Chelsea have one young son. Chelsea is excited about serving on the Ministry Council. She enjoys using her gifts to make a difference and hopes that serving in this way will be a great opportunity to learn, grow, and serve within Greenfield.

N'makaba Conteh
N’makaba started attending Greenfield in March of 2017 in the hopes of deepening her relationship with God. During her time at Greenfield, she has served as a Sunday school teacher and helped out with VBS while participating in some Ladies Bible studies and the CORE3 Discipleship Journey. N’makaba accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour and was baptized at Greenfield in April of 2019. Away from Greenfield, N’makaba is a first-year elementary teacher, she enjoys taking language classes mostly to hear the stories behind the cultures.

Rachel de Leon
Rachel de Leon has been attending Greenfield Community Church, then Greenfield Baptist Church, since 1984. She has been active in the church in areas that include Church Secretary, Ladies Time Out Coordinator, Ladies Bible Study Leader, Ministry Council, Stephen’s Minister, Life Group Leader, Greeter, Peru Team and more. She has regularly volunteered in her local community, most recently as the Membership Director and has been coordinating an art program at the Mustard Seed since 2007. Her passion and compassion for people are at the heart of her heart and ministry focus. Her motto is “God does not call the equipped, he equips those he calls.” Her life is a testimony to seeking God’s equipping in the areas where he is leading in her life. Away from Greenfield, Rachel works as a Merit Specialist in Student Financial Support, Office of the Registrar at the University of Alberta.

Murray Jarman
Murray was born in South Africa and moved to Canada with his family as a teenager, growing up in a committed Christian family. After finishing university and getting married to Linda, they moved to BC where Murray completed his M.Div and worked in ministry for a dozen years. In 2002 they moved back to Edmonton to be closer to family, and Murray shifted to become a high school teacher. Murray and Linda have two daughters in university and have always been committed and involved in the churches they've attended. Since coming to Greenfield about 7 years ago, Murray has led a small group and taught Sunday School, and is excited to be able to serve the church and community on the Ministry Council. Murray believes that God is at work in our communities to bring reconciliation and new relationships into being, both with our neighbours and between people and God.

Josh Mackintosh
Josh has been attending Greenfield Community Church since 2014. Josh attends church with his wife Cari, son Jake, and daughter Willa. Josh grew up in the Baptist Church (out east) and is pleased to consider himself a part of the Greenfield Community Church family. Josh is from Nova Scotia but has lived in Edmonton since 2013. Prior to living in Edmonton, Josh completed his master’s degree in Isafjordur, Iceland and worked for the Inuvialuit Land Claim Government in Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories. Josh currently works as a Director of Stakeholder Engagement in Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors. Josh likes being a part of the Ministry Council and seeing the ways in which God can work through him to the benefit of the church community.

Melody Metcalfe
The Metcalfe family began attending Greenfield in 2014, as a result of the merge with Renaissance Community Church. Since that time, Melody has helped with nursery, kid's camp, women’s Bible studies and small groups ministry. Melody and Kevin have two adult daughters (accompanied by two sons-in law), and one adult son (who is engaged and bringing a daughter-in-law into the mix). They have just become the very proud grandparents of their very first grandchild! Melody is a certified Elementary classroom teacher, and after many years decided to shift roles. She is currently employed with Edmonton Public as an EA, a position she enjoys immensely, working alongside students who need extra support. Mel’s interests and passions include long walks with her husband, reading, writing, connecting with friends & family, prayer, gardening, and volunteering with Safe Families.

Cailey Mrochuk
Cailey and her husband Ryan have been members of Greenfield for over 10 years. She has worked and volunteered in kids ministry, and has been volunteering with the worship team (playing guitar) for a number of years. Her younger two teens attend youth group, the oldest is also on the worship team. Within the last few years she has completed CORE3 and Stephen Ministry training. She also volunteers once a week at the Mustard Seed’s art drop in program, and uses her artistic talents in leading a yearly paint party for the youth group. She is happy to serve where God calls and brings joy, creativity, and a servant heart to all she does.

Bente Roycroft
Bente Roycroft has been attending Greenfield Community Church since 2014. She is married to Mike, and they have a truly exceptional Boston Terrier, Lady McDuff. Bente is a business owner of a managed IT services company, and has served on several boards including The Christmas Bureau, Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta, and Business and Professional Women of Edmonton.
